I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. My father is a retired Marine JAG officer and my mother is a school teacher. I attended the University of South Carolina and obtained a degree in Public Relations from the School of Journalism. During college, I worked as a reporter in McCall, Idaho for the local newspaper, The Star News. That summer in McCall was my first exposure to central Idaho. I fell deeply in love with the area and I decided to build my life here.
I attended the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow. After graduation, I did a mix of estate work, real estate law, family law and criminal law. Ultimately, I decided to dedicate my practice to strictly bankruptcy law and reconnected with my former professor, Ken Anderson. Ken’s bankruptcy law practice had been established in central Idaho for decades. I started working for Ken as a staff attorney in 2013 and I bought Ken’s practice in early 2014.
I am passionate about bankruptcy law. I serve on the board for the Idaho State Bar’s Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section. I also teach the Bankruptcy Lab course at the University of Idaho College of Law.
I am married to a farmer and we live in the Colton, WA area with our beloved dog, Governor (who comes to work with me most days). We recently welcomed our first child. I love what I do and I feel honored and humbled to help my clients navigate their most challenging times and restart financially.
